Today even the most hierarchical of organisations do business collaboratively. Teams and colleagues collaborate with each other internally, executives negotiate with strategic partners, suppliers and customers through both traditional and social networks.       The talk will explore the implications for leading and managing especially in the areas of power, influence and change. We will also discuss the emphasis for support and development by HR for and with the business community.

Greg Spiro MBA, Chartered MCIPD, CEDR Accredited Mediator

With 30 years experience in organisation and leadership development, conflict resolution and management education, Greg helps clients lead and manage strategic change and performance while discovering what kind of leader they want to be . Building their key relationships is central, exploring the interplay between business goals and the thorny issues of organisational and regional cultures.

Greg has developed a distinctive approach through coaching, mediation and workouts which help individuals and teams enhance collaborative practices in order to make the most of their oppportunities.

A former Visiting Lecturer in Interpersonal Management Skills at London Business School, he has taught Negotiation and Change Management on the Georgetown University international Graduate Program with Oxford University.

Greg is founder director of SpiroNicholson Singapore where he is based. Clients range from Accor Hotels, M&G Asia, Barclays Capital, GE and the BBC. In a previous stint in APAC He was an independent member of the United Distilllers (now Diageo) Asia Pacific Executive Committee, his work on South-East Asian joint ventures being featured by the Economist Intelligence Unit.
